Chiedo scusa per essere stata via così a lungo! Più di 3 mesi! Sono stata occupata, poi sono stata in vacanza e ho avuto problemi col wifi, ma ora sembra che io sia ufficialmente tornata!
Durante quest'estate ci sono stati molti bellissimi eventi, prima di tutto la 2a Edizione di "Notturni" a Giugno (20/06) e ultimamente a Settembre (20/09) il VI Victorian & Romantic Picnic, organizzati da Old Souls. Ho partecipato ad entrambi gli eventi e devo dire che c'è molta differenza tra eventi "privati" e quelli "pubblici". Notturni, come saprete, era privato, a Villa Carcano ad Anzano del Parco (Co) ed è stato un evento più intimo, sento inoltre una specie di "protezione" quando un evento è privato, perché non si deve badare alle persone che ti fissano. Per esempio, mi sento molto a disagio quando vesto Lolita e la gente fa commenti e ti ride in faccia, non è divertente per niente.
Comunque, il tema portante di Notturni questa volta era l'epoca Regency e me lo sono proprio gustata, con il mio abito "Canary Dream" :)

I'm so sorry I've been away for a very long time! More than 3 months! I've been busy, then I was on holiday and I had issues with my wifi but now it seems that I'm officially back!
During this Summer we had some beautiful events, first of all the 2nd edition of "Notturni" in June (06/20) and lately in September (09/20) the VI Victorian & Romantic Picnic, held by Old Souls. I attended both events and I have to say that there's a lot of difference between "private" events and "public" ones. Notturni, as you may know, was private, at Villa Carcano in Anzano del Parco (Co) and it was a more intimate event, also I feel a kind of "protection" when an event is private because you don't have to care about people staring at you. For example, I feel kind of uncomfortable when I'm wearing Lolita clothes and people make comments and laugh at you, it's not funny at all.
Anyway, this time the Regency Era was the leading theme of Notturni and I enjoyed it a lot with my dress "Canary Dream" :)

Il tema del Picnic è stato Guerra Civile/tardo 1860, devo ammettere che non sono i miei anni preferiti, ma ho deciso di prendere come modello Anna Leonowens. Di sicuro Jodie Foster era meglio di me in Anna & il Re ma alla fine sono abbastanza soddisfatta, anche perché non indosso colori scuri come faccio di solito.
Eravamo a Monza, nei Giardini della Villa Reale e dal momento che è un parco pubblico, c'erano molte persone che ci fissavano e che facevano foto e chiedevano informazioni. Sono stati molto carini, ma ho anche sentito delle donne dire che eravamo "brutti" e che "i loro costumi non sono belli per niente", PER NIENTE? Ero shockata e la chiamo "invidia", nient'altro... magari cecità!!! :P

The Picnic's theme was Civil War/late 1860's, I have to admit, they're not my favourite years, but I decided to take Anna Leonowens as my model. Of course Jodie Foster was better than me in Anna & the King but in the end I'm quite satisfied, also because I'm not wearing dark colours as I usually do.
We were in Monza, in the Gardens of the Villa Reale and since it's a public park, there were many people interested in us. My last time in Monza was in 2012 so I almost forgot this kind of situation. People staring at us but also taking pictures and asking for details. They were very nice but I've also heard some women saying that we were "ugly" and that "their costumes are not beautiful at all", AT ALL? I was shocked, and I call this "envy", nothing else...maybe blindness!!! :P
